In this 8-hour introduction to Sports Massage & Stretching participants can expect the following topics to be covered. Please note that this course will be a very hands on class where participants will be actively involved in the hands on portion of training.

  • Introduction to Sports Massage
  • The potential benefits of Sports Massage
  • Basic sports massage strokes
  • Demonstration of how to assess an athlete before providing a sports massage
  • Pre-Competition Massage  (Hands-on)
  • Halftime Massage (Hands-on)
  • Post-Game Massage (Hands-on)
  • Assisted Stretching for Performance and Recovery (Hands-on)
  • Case Studies (Treatment recommendations and roundtable discussion on strategies for the client)
  • Tips on helping you stand out in your business.
  • What to bring when you travel to an off-site event.     

What to bring to class

You will be getting worked on and you will be working on other people. 

  • Set of sheets
  • Lotion of your preference
  • Wear loose comfortable clothing, preferably long sweatpants or loose yoga pants and a t-shirt
  • Bring lunch if you choose




Kevin Miller
is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) as well as a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT). 

As a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Licensed Massage Therapist Kevin has worked with many groups of athletes over the past 12 years.

He has worked in Major League Soccer with the Philadelphia Union as their Strength & Conditioning Coach and Massage Therapist from 2010-2016. Kevin has worked with many division one athletic teams such as the Villanova men's and women's soccer teams, as well as field hockey, basketball, football, track and field and lacrosse players. Kevin assist individual amateur athletes in meeting their goals and helping them prepare for triathalons, marathons and individual fitness programs.
